As a member of our engineering team, you will work with companies across many different industries ranging in size from startups to large companies, helping them to integrate the latest in cobot welding technologies into their manufacturing processes. Internally you will work on advanced R&D projects to develop Kinetic Technologies’ products that ease integration and drive robotic adoption. You will work from concept to installation with customers. You will be expected to be able to build the panels and electrical architectures you design. You won’t just talk about robots; you will be expected to work hands-on to help others integrate robots. In this position you will create custom robot programs for customers, build PLC based controls systems, design electrical panels, write HMI/PLC/Logic code and work as a member of a team to bring new concepts to life. Due to the nature of the position this will be an on-site, day shift position in Algona, Iowa.

 

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that creates strong client relationships –must demonstrate exceptional integrity in all interactions.
  • Electrical/Computer Engineering Degree or similar degree or 10+ years’ experience in an engineering/engineering technician role without a formal degree
  • Experience with a variety of PLC architectures, Siemens, Allen Bradley, Keyence, and others that may arise.
  • Mastery of PLC programming, Electrical Panel Schematic design, and wiring harness design
  • Experience with EthernetIP, MODBUS and Profinet based communication architectures.
  • Extensive experience with servo/stepper motor control, Ladder Logic and circuit design.
  • Experience with industrial robotics applications and robotics programming through a teach pendant (we will train the right person) and off-line simulation (RoboDK)
  • Self-starter that can work independently.
